You will catch two cards by turn, and discard just one. When you have two cards with the same symbol that the one that your opponent discarded, you can rob the pile of discarded cards, and use those cards to form your own baskets.
Canasta will allow you to configure a lot of preferences. You can set up your online options, like participants, appearance, interface, audio and IP port. You can also choose a name to identify you, online or offline. Besides this, you can choose how will the cards and board look, how will they appear on the screen, and many configuration options, to use the program according to your tastes.
The evaluation version will allow you to play for free. You will be able to play as many times as you like during thirty days. After that, you will have to register. Then, you can play as many times as you want.
